Day 1: Hanoi Arrival Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and driver and taken to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to discover the magic of Hanoi Old Quarter in Vietnam. Watch the water puppetry show. Enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Hanoi. Meals: Not Included Accommodation: HM Boutique Hanoi Hotel Inclusion: Private car, English-speaking guide, mineral water, tickets Day 2: Hanoi - Ba Be Our tour guide will pick you up by car at your hotel in Hanoi about 7:30 AM to transfer you to Bac Kan. We will start by driving in the direction of Ba Be National Park for about 4 hours and have lunch on the way to the park. At the Boc Lom pier, you will learn how to paddle a kayak on rivers, take dry bags, sports equipment and life jackets….. Kayaking along the riverside is the most enjoyable experience, you will continue to travel down the Nang River to explore the huge Puong cave and then see Dau Dang Waterfall. Swimming is available here. Then, you will cross the Nang River and pass through some steep terrain with many cat ears cliffs. This forest is very dense and has many tall trees, but when you climb up, you will start to see beautiful views of the mountains. Visit the ethnic village to learn more about the life of local people. Stop at the house of the Dao ethnic people where you will spend the night here. Brief introduction and preparation are here. After a thirtyminute drive, you'll reach Tham Phay Cave, the hike starts with a steep uphill leading into the forest. Some rock at the top, and then a similar slope before the trail fades and you enter the valley. Turning west of the trail is a large patch of rock for you to find your way through, with the help and direction of your guide and safety team. The precarious entrance is at the end of the forest. Enjoy some snacks before starting to explore the cave. Tham Phay Cave is a beautiful stream cave with two underground river tributaries, where you will experience narrow passages, craggy mountains and some deep pools with very nice photo opportunities. Plants and algae cover many calcite formations. Going deeper into the cave, you will find many unusual features of the cave such as the ceiling dome and many layers of rock, giving the walls a striking appearance. You will spend about five hours exploring this 5km deep river cave, which geologists have not discovered so far. Of course, we will provide you with the necessary equipment, such as helmets and powerful headlights. The cave expands considerably as you go through the original entrance and offers some great opportunities for excellent photos. Enjoy a few snacks before continuing the journey to explore the 2nd path of the cave system that possesses miraculous stalagmites millions of years old, dangerous sinkholes and heat flows at the bottom . Leaving Tham Phay, you will return to the cave entrance and return to the original pick up point. You will visit the village of the Hmong ethnic group and Dzao ethnic village. Your guide will take you through vast mountains and valleys to see the Dao houses and schools on stilts. Enjoy your lunch at the house of the Dao ethnic people. In the afternoon, across the border in Tuyen Quang province and continue trekking to Dau Dang waterfall. From here you can continue your hike through the thick rainforest while keeping an eye out for local wildlife. Eventually, you’ll reach the summit which offers amazing panoramic views of the countryside below. In the evening, have dinner and stay overnight at a homestay near Dau Dang Waterfall. Notes: 15 - 17 Trek Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner Accommodation: Mr Quang’s Homestay Inclusion: Private car, English-speaking guide, mineral water, entrance fee Day 5: Ba Be After breakfast at your homestay, today's trip takes you into Ha Giang by taking a walk about 2 km through a small village, cornfields and sugarcane fields and jungle trail to Da Vi river. Going down the river by boat to Na Hang, you will immerse yourself in the vast nature on the green water and breathe in the fresh air. The boat takes you along the length of about 20 km along the Nang river, among wild and tranquil Northeast mountains and forests for about 2 hours. On the river where the currents flow in opposite directions from north to south, you can admire a lot of beautiful natural scenery and riverside fishing villages. After your adventure on the boat, our driver will pick you up to transfer to Du Gia. Stay overnight at homestay in Du Gia. It's time to hit the greatest hiking trail in Du Gia National Park - the most diverse nature reserve in Vietnam and the home of a variety of other species of rare and exotic animals, flowers and plants. On the journey sparking your sense of adventure, you'll trek under vast trees, smell the exquisite plant that you've never laid eyes on, across crystal clear streams, go head into the dense brushes to look for the way out, sometimes stop to listen to the sounds of nature and immerse among the unspoiled landscape. This hike and trek actually take place in dense, tangled undergrowth of the jungle. End of the 5-hour jungle expedition, have lunch and continue driving to Ha Giang. Stay overnight in the hotel in Ha Giang. On the way, you will stop at Bac Ha to visit H’mong King’s house (King Hoang A Tuong), which was built by the French and Chinese in 1920, leading to a unique fusion of European and Oriental architecture, making for an incredibly grand structure. After lunch at a local restaurant, you begin our trekking by heading to a Flower H’mong community in Ban Pho Village. Their culture is named for the colourful and extravagantly decorated traditional outfits that they wear, often made by hand. It’s a truly fascinating culture that you’ll get to learn much about during your time here. Then, continue to drive to Sapa and stay overnight there. You will visit a local house to meet the villagers and discover their daily life. After lunch in a local restaurant, you will continue through the rice terrace fields to Lao Chai and Ta Van Village of Zay people to discover their culture. This is the biggest valley and features the most impressive rice terrace fields in the whole of Sapa. You will have dinner and spend the night in a homestay in Ta Van Village. Notes: 15 - 17 Km Trek Meals: Breakfast, lunch Accommodation: Big Rock Homestay Inclusion: Private car, English speaking guide, mineral water, entrance fees Day 9: Climbing To Fansipan After fueling up on breakfast at the hotel, you will start the trip to conquer the roof of Vietnam and Indochina: Fansipan Peak. At about 09.30, you will take a bus (17km) to Tram Ton Pass, the highest pass in Vietnam located at 2,100m above sea level. You can visit the Silver Waterfall en route. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and then begin the strenuous trek to the peak. After roughly 6 hours of trekking through the primitive jungles, across the numerous small streams and bamboo forests, you will have climbed to about 2,200m, the point at which you pitch your tent, have dinner and spend your first night on the mountain. After an arduous 4-hour climb, you will finally conquer the roof of Vietnam and Indochina. Spend up to one hour enjoying breathtaking views of the splendid rolling mountains, the small villages of Lai Chau Province and the picturesque town of Sapa. After you have lunch, drive back to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Marina, check-in procedures at the waiting lounge. Embark on Pelican Cruise, enjoy a welcome drink and Vietnamese and international lunch and the picturesque scenery of the bay, pass by the most beautiful areas: Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock Islet, Three Coconuts Island. Visit Tung Sau - the largest pearl farm in Ha Long Bay, learn the process of manual pearl culture and practice some techniques. This is also an ideal place for kayaking, get up and close to the timeless beauty of Ha Long. Visit Ti Top island - a small limestone island with one of the best sandy beaches in Ha Long Bay. Back to the boat and anchor at Lom Bo area. In the evening, enjoy our traditional and fusion dishes prepared by our talented chefs. After dinner it's your time to enjoy at our bar and spa, fish squid or watch a movie in cabin, play cards, chess or relax on the sundeck. Overnight on board. Coffee, tea and pastries for breakfast are served in the restaurant. Visit Sung Sot Cave - a magnificent and largest limestone cave as its original name: Grotte des Surprising. The beautiful stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years are the reward after the steep climb on Bo Hon Island. ***Proper shoes are highly recommended when it's wet. Back to Pelican Cruise. Check out and settle your bill at the reception. Have brunch while cruising back. Relax on the sundeck or in the restaurant. Learn how to make a unique aromatic flavor of fish sauce here. Before having lunch in a local restaurant, spend time shopping for fresh seafood in a local market. After lunch, you visit Phu Quoc Prison which was used to detain as many as 40,000 soldiers throughout the wars against the French colonists and the American imperialists. Then visit Vietnam – Japan man-made pearl producing factory. Free for exploring the area. Overnight in Phu Quoc.
