ESQUEL: LOS ALERCES NATIONAL PARK

Arrival at Esquel, reception and accommodation. Day 2. B Today we visit Los Alerces National Park, recently declared Natural Heritage Site by the UNESCO and created for the protection of larches, one of the oldest trees in the continent, which used to be in danger of extinction. The tour includes the visit to Villa Futalaufquen and its lake, Limonao port, Irigoyen waterfall and the walkways of Arrayanes River where we take a short walk to see a young larch of 300 years old, appreciate Verde Lake and finally get to Chucao Port by the shore of Lake Menendez. From this point, the boat trips to a millennial larch departs. In the afternoon, we return to Esquel. Day 3. B Free day to take an optional excursion. If you like adventure, we recommend taking the tour to Piedra Parada, the 210-meter-high mountain, in the middle of the steppe, next to the Chubut River, is a small paradise to be discovered. Day 4. B Free morning. If your departure is in the afternoon, we suggest you enjoy La Trochita, an emblem of Patagonia known as the Old Patagonian Express. This is a preserved steam train and due to its value, it was declared a National Historic Monument. At due time, transfer to the Esquel airport to board your scheduled flight.
