Day 1: Arrival in St. Moritz Train journey to St. Moritz from any Swiss airport or border. Free time in St. Moritz. Opportunity for a trip to the Diavolezza. The Diavolezza cable car brings you even closer to the Piz Bernina, the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps, and a fascinating glacier world awaits you. Overnight stay in St Moritz. Day 2: Bernina Express St. Moritz - Lugano (8h) Today after breakfast in the hotel, you travel with the Bernina Express along the UNESCO World Heritage route. Enjoy an Alpine rail journey that takes you from the high glaciers of the mountains down south to Tirano (Italy). The Bernina Express is the highest railway line across the Alps and connects northern and southern Europe. You drive over the Bernina Pass and the open loop at Brusio to Tirano. Time for lunch (at own) or a stroll. Onward journey with the Bernina Express Bus through the Veltlin and along Lake Como to Lugano. Overnight in Lugano. Day 3: Lugano and journey home Breakfast in the hotel. Check out from your hotel and travel to any Swiss airport or border. Or else, explore at own the city of Lugano - a charming paradise on the shores of Lake Lugano with Palm trees, romantic lake promenade and the beautiful old town.
