It's largely driven by its rich historical sites, beautiful beaches, and unique Turkish Cypriot culture of the island, international recognition and access; key tourist attractions include Kyrenia Castle, Bellapais Abbey, and the abandoned town of Varosha, with most visitors coming from Turkey, although recent years have seen a rise in European tourists, a lovely place of beautiful beaches, warm sun, lively entertainment and a unique culture.
